Former WWE writer explains how the Bloodline story would have 'fallen apart' if The Usos had not been present.
Former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. believes The Usos were crucial to the Bloodline storyline.
On SmackDown this past Friday night, Jimmy and Jey Superkicked Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, effectively disbanding The Bloodline. The tensions had been building since Night of Champions, and they finally came to a head when Jey Uso chose to support his brother over The Tribal Chief.
On a recent episode of Wrestling with Freddie, the former writer revealed that Jimmy and Jey had contributed far more to the storyline than anyone had anticipated.
"These two dudes, these twin brothers, have exceeded all of the company's expectations for them." They've always managed to get their a**es off. There aren't enough nice things to say about these guys. I sang their praises loudly last week; I won't shine them up any longer."
He claimed that the Bloodline story would not have been as compelling without the twins.
"It's incredible that they were able to pull off this story. Without them being as talented as they are, this thing falls apart, nobody cares, and it's just another faction with insufficient people to speak up. We know they're being guarded by the only person capable of doing so. "In this case, every single son of a b*tch in the story has the ability to speak," Prinze Jr. said. [From 19:32 - 20:08]
The Usos will compete against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa.
At Money in the Bank, the Bloodline is on the verge of civil war. WWE confirmed on Friday that Jimmy and Jey would face Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa in a tag team match at Money in the Bank.
Roman will want to address this betrayal and re-establish his control over the faction before the match. Last Friday, the Head of the Table was taken aback as fans chanted, "You deserve it."
In the weeks leading up to Money in the Bank, it will be interesting to see what Reigns says about The Usos.
