Gennady Golovkin and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez have fought in over 50 world title fights in a decade of dominance. In a long-awaited trilogy fight, Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin are motivated by justice.

Golovkin was once unbeatable, and Canelo is unrivaled as boxing's financial savior, and they meet for the third time on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

After a long time, boxing fans will finally watch the trilogy fight between Gennadiy “GGG” Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez. The contest will be taking place on September 17, 2022.

Canelo made his professional debut in 2005. Canelo has defeated a who of fighters, including Shane Mosley, Josesito Lopez, Miguel Cotto, and Amir Khan. In just 11 months, Canelo unified the super-middleweight division. Last November, he defeated IBF super-middleweight champion, Caleb Plant.

In 2006, Golovkin made his professional debut. In 2010, he was crowned WBA (interim, then official) middleweight champion, and in 2011, he was crowned IBO champion. Golovkin has won four consecutive fights since 2019.

Canelo and Golovkin first clashed in 2017, with the fight ending in a contentious split decision draw. They fought again in 2018, but it was postponed for a few months after Alvarez tested positive for the banned substance clenbuterol. Canelo won by unanimous decision. Canelo recently agreed to a two-fight deal with DAZN and Matchroom to face Bivol and Golovkin.
