Morocco's 'Fantastic' FIFA Club World Cup Opening Ceremony is praised by Infantino.
Rabat – A number of A-list celebrities and public figures, including FIFA President Gianni Infantino, praised the FIFA Club World Cup opening ceremony.
The start of the Club World Cup tournament "in such style and with such a great ceremony and song," according to the president of the international football governing body, is "fantastic."
"Amazing venues, best teams, and I'm looking forward to some fantastic games in the coming days," he said.
The opening ceremony's photos and videos have gone viral.
Using various colors, themes, and features, the opening ceremony emphasized Morocco's openness as well as the North African country's cultural diversity.
Amazigh, Sahrawi, Ganaoua, Ahidous, and other Moroccan music genres were featured during the show.
The opening ceremony stage also featured Morocco's Head Coach Walid Regragui's tribute to Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known by his nickname Pele, in addition to music and a big-screen show featuring the journey of Morocco's explorer Ibn Battuta in brief.
Along with Infantino, FIFA commemorated Morocco's opening ceremony by sharing photos from the live event.
"#ClubWC Opening Ceremony = Delivered!" FIFA announced on Facebook. The images depicted fireworks during the opening ceremony, as well as other colorful performances honoring Morocco's culture, openness, and love of football.
