Noelia Voigt, Miss Utah USA 2023, is the winner.
The CW's first ever aired pageant, the 2023 Miss USA contest, put on quite a spectacle even though it wasn't Miss Mystic Falls.
After several years on cable, the 72nd annual event made its network television debut on Friday, welcoming 51 state championship holders to Reno, Nevada's Grand Sierra Resort.
This year's pageant, which was hosted by Keltie Knight and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, had a diverse group of judges, including Vivica A. Fox, Nicole Miller, Emina Cunmulaj Nazarian, and Patrick Starrr, a makeup guru and influencer.
Morgan Romano, the current Miss USA, spoke candidly about the feelings involved in this passing of the baton on social media as she presented the crown to this year's winner.
Just one day before to appointing her successor, Romano posted on Instagram, "The biggest thing that I will miss about this position is the people. "I have made so many wonderful connections and they have all left a bit of themselves with me. Each interaction I've had this year has gradually shaped who I am. People are more willing to discuss who they are and their stories with you while they are wearing the sash, for some reason. Many strangers' weaknesses have taught me more than I ever imagined possible about deep empathy, compassion, and understanding for everyone around me.
FIFTH PLACE | Miss Texas USA, Lluvia Alzate
FOURTH PLACE | Miss Pennsylvania USA, Jasmine Daniels
THIRD PLACE | Miss Wisconsin USA, Alexis Loomans
SECOND PLACE | Miss Hawaii USA, Savannah Gankiewicz
That left Miss Utah USA, Noelia Voigt, standing alone to be named the new Miss USA, according to the rules of counting backward.
