T20 World Cup: Pakistan beat Netherlands by 6 Wickets to avoid elimination

Pakistan defeated the Netherlands by six wickets to keep their slim chances of reaching the Men's T20 World Cup semi-finals alive.

They won with 37 balls to spare after chasing 92 with opener Mohammad Rizwan hitting 49 off 39 balls.

In Perth, the Netherlands scored 91-9, with Colin Ackermann scoring 27 and spinner Shadab Khan taking 3-22.

Pakistan must defeat South Africa on Thursday and Bangladesh the following Sunday in order to advance.

The Netherlands have been eliminated after a third consecutive defeat, dropping them to the bottom of Group 2, one place below Pakistan.

Earlier, Bangladesh moved into second place with a dramatic victory over Zimbabwe, which is still in contention for qualification.
