UFC 300 Pereira vs Hill

There will be fights for two championship belts among the many current and previous champions on the 300th pay-per-view show of the UFC, which is being celebrated. Champion after champion appears at UFC 300. The 300th pay-per-view card of the Ultimate Fighting Championship features combatants that serve as a reminder to fans of the brutal and frequently bizarre reality of mixed martial arts. Twelve fighters in the 13 bouts on the UFC 300 card have held a UFC title at some point in their careers. This is a great way to promote the pay-per-view, which can be purchased in the US for $79.99 with an ESPN+ subscription, and it also serves as a timely reminder of how difficult it is to win a title and capitalize on the fame that comes with it. The current light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira, rose to prominence in a bigger class by positioning himself as a counterbalance to Israel Adesanya, one of the greatest names in the sport. After suffering two defeats in 2021, Zhang Weili had to bo

Maycee Barber narrowly defeats Andrea Lee in a split decision.

Maycee Barber won her fourth straight race on Saturday, and the Texas crowd was not pleased with two of the judges' scores.

Barber competed in a flyweight main event against Andrea Lee at UFC San Antonio. After 15 minutes of competition, "The Future" won a somewhat contentious split decision.

Judge Chris Lee scored it 29-28 in favor of Lee, while Frank Collazo — the referee from an extremely contentious fight on Friday's Fury FC 79 card — scored it 29-28 in favor of Collazo, and Dan Miragliotta gave Barber all three rounds.

Lee scored an easy takedown less than two minutes into the first round and held dominant position for more than two minutes — barring an awkward arm trap from Barber — before getting back to her feet, where the exchanges were relatively even until the horn sounded.

Lee had the better of the exchanges on the feet in the second round, but Barber landed a takedown to change the momentum, then landed a nice elbow in tight when Lee got back to her feet. Both women landed head kicks at the same time, with Lee landing the stronger of the two, before Barber landed a punch that put Lee in trouble. "KGB" once again got a takedown with relative ease, but it couldn't do much damage with it. Lee got back up and landed a flurry of leg kicks to a grounded Barber, who threw up some nice up kicks until another close round ended.

In the third round, Barber pushed forward before Lee got another takedown and ended up taking Barber's back. Barber quickly rose to her feet, so that didn't last long. The exchanges on the feet remained intense, but Barber landed a takedown before Lee could get back to her feet, dragging Barber back to the floor.

Lee finished the round on top with a full body lock and her fifth takedown in as many attempts with less than a minute remaining.

The cards were all over the place, as expected, and Barber won her fourth straight decision.

Lee has now lost two straight fights and is now 2-5 in her last seven appearances.
